SSC Phase XIV answer key: what to do

The Staff Selection Commission announced on 9 October 2026 that candidate response sheets and tentative answer keys were being uploaded for the Phase XIV/2026 Selection Posts Examination, with a process to submit challenges. A response sheet shows the answers recorded for your exam. The tentative key shows SSC's proposed correct answers. Together, they let you compare your responses, but they are not the final result.

Check your own record

Start at SSC's official website and open the notice board item for Phase XIV/2026. Follow its instructions to reach the candidate login. Use your own registration details. Download the response sheet and key if they are available for your account, and keep a copy for reference.

Look at each question carefully. Make sure you are comparing the same question and answer option shown for your exam shift. A screenshot circulating online may show another shift or a different question order, so it may not match your paper.

What does “tentative” mean?

It means the answer key is open to the process described in SSC's notice and may be reviewed after valid challenges. It is like a teacher sharing a draft answer key before checking a student's evidence. If you think an answer is incorrect, read the challenge instructions and provide the material SSC asks for. A guess or an unsupported social-media post is not good evidence.

If you want to challenge an answer

Read the official notice from beginning to end. It contains the exact challenge window, fee if any, payment method, evidence format and submission steps. These details can have strict cut-off times. Because the window can close, check the notice immediately rather than relying on a remembered deadline or an old article. Submit only through the official process described by SSC and save the acknowledgement.

Never share your password or one-time password with someone who promises to submit a challenge for you. Avoid paying an unofficial person to “fix” an answer. If the official portal has a problem, use the contact details or help instructions published by SSC.

After checking the key

Keep your response sheet and any acknowledgement safely. SSC may later publish a final answer key or result notice. A tentative key alone does not confirm that a candidate has qualified. Wait for the official result and read the next-step instructions that apply to your post.

Key point

The 9 October Phase XIV update covers response sheets, tentative keys and challenges. Use your own login and follow the exact dates and rules in SSC's notice. This guide does not replace that notice, especially for challenge deadlines and fees.
